Follow us on:
We are two friends working in a garage. We are both fathers (or just about), husbands, and crazy enough to give up our corporate jobs to pursue our dreams.

Fangwei is the inventor of the RealTrigger technology, a father of two, and a Carnegie Mellon alum. Before founding Realiteer, he was an animation/special effects artist at Dreamworks. Fun fact: if it burned or exploded, Fangwei probably had a hand in it.

It all started with a bubble gun! Fangwei’s son, Adrian, loves playing with bubbles. Fangwei had to buy countless bubble guns because they either broke easily (or, let's face it, Adrian wasn't the gentlest with those guns) or did not work at all. He got so frustrated that he decided to build a virtual one by himself. Fangwei designed an optical tracking pattern and coupled it with used diaper boxes and an image recognition software. That became Adrian’s very first virtual bubble gun, as well as our first prototype.

Shuo is the business side of Realiteer and a father-to-be. Before co-founding Realiteer, he was a neuroscientist at Genentech and a MBA student at Berkeley Haas. Fun (or nerdy?) fact: as he inadvertently found out one night, he apparently can still correctly answer calculus questions when drunk.
